Seasonal salad...
Here at The Little Salad Company, we believe in growing in tune with nature, not in competition with it. As a result, we grow leaves that can thrive in our seasonal climate. In the summer expect an abundance of lettuce leaves, from oak leaves to crisp, frilly Lollo Rosso. In the autumn, you’ll find a range of spicier leaves, from rocket to a whole host of oriental leaves, including Mizuna and Red Mustard. And in winter and spring, you’ll be enjoying bitter, strong tastes of Chicory, Endive, and the gentler Lamb’s lettuce.
Growing in tune with the seasons means we don’t have to use harmful pesticides to keep off unwanted pests. It also means you can fill your salad bowl knowing that the leaves that you’re eating haven’t been flown and driven hundreds of miles to get to you.
