Hi! This is the first post from us, keeping you up to date with our lovely leaves, and how the growing is going.

Today was sowing for the Autumn batch of leaves. We have a mix of winter lettuce leaves like salad endives and Winter Marvel, a fab overwintering lettuce, alongside over 10 different types of oriental greens. Oriental leaves are all brassicas, part of the cabbage family and thrive in our cooler winters, not minding the odd frost.

Here you can see our module trays, all filled with a mixture of potting compost, perlite and sand for drainage. Next year we'll be experimenting with coir as a eco friendly potting medium, we'll let you know how we get on!
